Spotlight on IT Project Managers in SBJ

Karen Craigo, Springfield Business Journal reporter, interviewed recent Excellence in Technoloy Award finalists in an article highlighting the growing field of IT project management. Best IT Project Managers/Coordinator finalists Kim Roberts of CNH Industrial Reman, Natalie Beissel of FORVIS, and Chelsey Begley of Mostly Serious were each featured and shared insight into the IT field. Riley Grotenhuis, Rising Star finalist, was also interviewed.

STC is pleased the honorees shined a spotlight on this important role in our community. Craigo shares that the Project Management Institute’s 2021 report shows the largest and fastest growth in the U.S. is predicted in software development, with a projected 14% increase in tech project management occupations through 2030. Much of the growth is expected from the development of mobile applications, IT security and healthcare technology.
